Welsh-Italian bassist from Cardiff. Met D'Angelo at Electric Lady Studios and anchored the landmark neo-soul album Voodoo (2000). Became The Who's bassist after John Entwistle's death and joined the John Mayer Trio. One of the most prolific session bassists alive, with over 600 recordings.

Palladino then joined Erykah Badu's band and became part of the Soulquarians collective. The same bassist who would later join The Who was deeply embedded in neo-soul's most celebrated album.
