Jerry Hey

Studied at Indiana University and played trumpet in Hawaiian jazz-fusion band Seawind before being discovered by Quincy Jones at The Baked Potato jazz club in LA. Became Jones's 'first call' horn arranger, crafting horn and string arrangements for all three Michael Jackson–Jones albums: Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad. His string arrangement on 'Billie Jean' is among his most recognized work.
