Keyon Harrold

Keyon Harrold (b. 1982) — Trumpet, Flugelhorn. Led The Mugician. Worked with Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, Mark Colenburg.

Harrold plays trumpet on Robert Glasper's Black Radio and provided the trumpet dubbing for Don Cheadle's Miles Davis in the film Miles Ahead. His tone is sweet and warm, and in modern production contexts his trumpet never loses its presence. He carries jazz forward without losing what makes the instrument beautiful.

Trumpeter Keyon Harrold provided all of the trumpet playing for Don Cheadle's Miles Davis biopic Miles Ahead (2015), matching Cheadle's on-screen performance. In 2017 he released The Mugician on Sony Legacy/Mass Appeal.
