Riku This riff is seriously addictive, isn't it?

Taiga You keep saying that.

Riku Because I've literally listened to nothing else for three days.

Ko …Three days is a long time.

Riku I wake up to it, bike to school to it, eat to it.

Taiga That's not exactly eating music.

Riku It works though. Chewing gets funky.

Ko Chewing gets funky.

Riku Don't laugh.

Riku starts tapping his knee with a stick, following the riff.

Taiga …Why doesn't this riff get boring? It's basically the same thing over and over.

Ko Because it's shifting a little each time.

Taiga Shifting?

Ko Yeah. Sounds the same, but everything around it responds a bit differently every time. So even though the phrase is identical, the scenery changes.

Riku stops tapping and just listens.

Riku …You say something brilliant every once in a while.

Ko You've got rice on your face.

Riku Where?

Ko Your cheek.
